Gardening For All Seasons
By President Irene Clum
Gardening is universal—think about it. Gardening is a universal language. It is relatable, understandable, and recognized around the world, regardless of location. For some of us, it is a hobby or leisure activity. For others, a lifetime career to support a family and benefit all. Gardening can be as simple as a flowerpot on a windowsill, or as complex as a multi-acre commercial venture
As we continue to explore ‘gardening’ this year, we will tour a historic garden at Clermont State Historic Site. We will learn how to create a native pollinator garden and how to use and preserve herbs. We will learn about sustainability, and how to grow orchids
Somehow, we will fit a plant sale, club luncheon, flower show, and holiday market into this busy year. I can’t wait to get started!
Happy Gardening!
